How to Use the Online TI 30 Calculator

The Online TI 30 Calculator reproduces authentic Texas Instruments TI-30XS MultiView workflows for middle school, high school, and college coursework. Master these essential features:

1. Entering Fractions and Mixed Numbers

Press the [n/d] button in the keypad. Enter your numerator, press the down arrow key on the direction pad, and enter the denominator. For mixed numbers (e.g. 3 ½), press [2nd] + [n/d] (Un/d) to create whole number and fraction template boxes.

2. Toggling Between Exact Fractions and Decimals

When a calculation produces a fractional result (such as 7/8), press the [◄►] toggle key located directly above the [enter] key to convert the answer to its decimal equivalent (0.875). Press it again to return to exact fraction form.

3. Inspecting Function Tables (XY Values)

Press [table]. Enter a function formula (e.g. y = 3x + 2 using the [x] variable key). Define your Start value and Step (Δ), then press [enter] to inspect an interactive XY numeric table.

4. Changing Degrees vs Radians Mode

Press [mode]. The top line allows you to toggle between DEG (Degrees) and RAD (Radians) for trigonometry. Use the arrow keys to select your option, press [enter], and press [clear] to return to computing.
